This was our second year staying at Steven's place, and we enjoyed it. It has a beautiful view of the ocean, beds are comfortable, place was clean. A couple of minor glitches that were solved....no water when we arrived! We talked to the manager who suggested turning on the faucet for the unit's water. We were able to turn it on and get water but the experience was a bit disconcerting. There were two broken can openers in the drawer. We were able to borrow one from a friendly neighbor. The patio door didn't have a working lock, and the bathroom sink cabinet door is not secure on it's hinges. We also had to buy a dish sponge to wash dishes, and extra toilet paper as we ran out halfway through our week long stay. It also would have been nice to have some tissues in the unit. Also, be prepared to haul your luggage up two flights of stairs! Otherwise it was a great stay in a beautiful ocean view spot.

We did contact the HOA immediately after you reported it to us, and we're glad it was resolved. We would like to clarify a couple of details from the listing. We do note in the description that there is no elevator and guests must walk up about 27 steps to get to the unit on the 2nd floor. We also mention that a starter kit of toilet paper and paper towels is provided, but guests are responsible for any resupply needed during their stay. We would have appreciated being notified of the damaged items and missing supplies during your stay, as we would have been happy to address them promptly to ensure your comfort. We enjoyed our week-long stay here. It was off-season, so lots of peace and quiet. Hardly anyone using the pool, and the beach was only somewhat full on the weekend -- weekdays were sparse, which was great. We completely dodged rain storms on both ends of our stay, so the timing couldn't be better. The hurricane didn't really hit this area hard anyway. Some details we thought would be helpful to other travelers... This condo is located up two flights of stairs, and there's no elevator -- so I don't advise bringing large suitcases. The hosts provide beach chairs and toys, which is great. I was a bit tall for those chairs, but discovered that the local North Myrtle Beach community provides rental chairs & umbrellas that you can book ahead of time. One of their workers sets them up for you on the beach at 9 AM and picks them up at 5 PM. These are sturdier chairs and umbrellas, and I found them to be well worth the expense. Next time, we'd book those for the entire week. All in all, great!

My husband, mother in law and I had a wonderful stay. From the moment we walked in the door we were so happy with the condo. Clean and inviting. The kitchen had everything you could need. You could see the ocean sitting on the couch. The beds were clean and comfy and the bathrooms spotless. We really enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the morning and evening. Steven was always available to answer any questions and offered dining recommendations. We absolutely loved this condo and the location was perfect! Will definitely stay again.

We had a great stay and will definitely stay again when in the area! We appreciated the beach essentials (chairs, toys, umbrella) as to not have to bring ours along in an already packed car! The toddler items in the kitchen were great to have as well, cups, plates, silverware etc! Steven was very responsive and helpful for the duration of our stay. The location is perfect in NMB and while next to a larger complex, the beach was never too crowded! Great place to stay!

Amazing view! Lots of time spent just sitting in the captains chairs watching the waves! Loved it. Quiet complex! The beds were very comfortable and the linens were crisp and clean. We enjoyed our stay here, watched dolphins from the balcony. Location was great, and hosts food suggestions were on point. Check in was easy, and communication was great. Overall great place And I would book again. There were a few things that were lacking in hospitality. I had to supply products for the week that would otherwise be included in a stay. This unit included a "starter pack" to last a day or 2 but for the week stay we were responsible for TP, paper towels, and garbage bags. I also like to give transparency if any house rules are added or fees are mentioned after arriving. So as a heads up checkout is at 10am (as listed) and 75$ is charged for every 15 min after 10 (told 24 hours before checkout). At this time I was also told to be sure not to leave anything behind as there is no retrieving items after checkout. We were out by 10 and did not leave anything, but I was taken back by the off-putting checkout message the night before.

My husband and I stayed at Steven's place for 5 days, and everything was great. It's a nicely remodeled 2BR/2BA apartment. Don't be discouraged by the building appearance, everything inside is very modern, clean and has all that you need for a nice, peaceful vacation. The kitchen is very well stocked with all the imaginable cooking utensils and kitchenware. The main bedroom is facing the ocean and you can enjoy the sunrise from a king size bed that has a comfortable mattress. Very comfortable high chairs on the balcony let you enjoy an amazing ocean view. Everything looks like on the pictures, clean, convenient, thoughtful. If you are looking for a comfortable, quiet place, you found it. Next year we are definitely coming back. Some people mentioned the stairs that can be a problem, yes, the apartment is on the third floor, and you need to climb up a few flights. We didn't see it as an issue, my husband is in his 70s.

What an absolutely charming place to stay. Your classic beach condo: you know them, you’ve seen them, you love them! Yes, there are 2 flights of stairs to get to the condo, but no waiting for an elevator as at other places! The décor is classic beachy & puts one right into the mood for some sun, sand, & surf. The location is close enough to downtown to be walkable and just far enough from the usually crowded places to be quiet. The balcony looks out on the ocean and was our favorite place for a morning cup of tea. We would absolutely stay there again!!!

Steven's place was peaceful, with a gorgeous view of the ocean and restful waves lapping at the beach. The view was accessible from the whole place except from the back bedroom and bathrooms. It was wonderful just looking out at the ocean, watching the birds (saw pelicans, an osprey catching a fish, shorebirds, a red fox, and dolphin pods regularly swimming out in front of us), sitting on the comfortable porch, and cooking our own meals in a great kitchen. It was really nice being only on the 2nd floor with the beach easily accessible rather than high up in a high rise hotel. Everything felt close by and was so beautiful. The three of us enjoyed the large screen tv in the evenings and watched a number of movies. All in all, a great place to stay that I would highly recommend.

Awesome last minute girls trip. The two king bedrooms are ideal. The condo was very comfortable and had everything we needed. It made us feel right at home. The hosts were informative on local spots and very helpful answering questions we had. The ocean views in the master bedroom and balcony were so nice, it was a hard to leave. The condo had a wonderful view of the beach and ocean. Being the second floor provided privacy but close enough to enjoy people watching. Lovely peek-a-boo sunrise and sunset views. Comfy chairs on balcony and beds were very comfortable. Kitchen nicely stocked for light cooking. Keurig coffee maker provided with starter cups and sweeteners. Couches were also comfortable and roomy. Large new refrigerator and dishwasher looked new also. Beach chairs and blankets and cooler were fabulous amenity - especially for people like us who flew to S.Carolina. Washer and dryer worked well. Hosts provided restaurant recommendations. Parking was not a problem in October. Easy check out instructions. All in all it was a great stay and we were very comfortable. A great value for the money!

What a phenomenal home away from home. This beautiful air bnb was exactly as pictured including the stunning ocean views, the gorgeous kitchen and living room to the sound of the ocean from the master bedroom window. The heated pool was a great option or addition to the ocean. The sunrises and sunsets were an unbelievable way to start and end the day. Communication with the hosts was quick and efficient. Can't say enough good things about the Captain's Quarters. It was beautiful, clean, homey, comfortable beds, stocked with all the current beach gear we needed, and the view and location were unbeatable. We loved grabbing the beach chairs, walking out the door, and being set up in less than 10 minutes. The cherry on top was that Steven was very friendly and responsive to communicate with. We hope to be back next year!

This condo was a great location and has very easy beach access. The view of the ocean from the deck is amazing! However, the pool is close and almost directly below the deck so if your looking for quiet and privacy on the deck you may not get it because of other condo members swimming. Beach chairs and umbrella were very convenient as well as other toys for kids. There are two king beds one was very comfortable with a topper and the other was very firm, each just had a thin quilt to sleep with. Overall, it was a nice place on the beach for sure.

A very clean, comfortable, and attractive condo. True to pictures and didn’t disappoint in any way. Favorite thing about condo was the beach view from balcony and easy access to beach. Steven's place was AMAZING! I enjoyed my stay there so much that I can't wait to go back. The view of the beach was spectacular and I found myself sitting on the balcony morning and night to watch the Sunrise and set. This condo was beyond amazing. Having a teenager and a friend the accessibility tot he beach was perfect. The unit was immaculate and right on the beach. I spent every minute in the condo in the balcony just taking in the sounds. It was close and convenient to everything. We go to Myrtle every other year to visit family and this will be our rental moving forward. Steve was prompt with any questions we had. A beautiful condo. We loved it! Thank You !

Steven and Sarah are the ultimate hosts hands down. Everything about the location and condo were exactly as their listing said and showed. I was floored by the responsiveness of both Steven and Sarah, and they made us feel welcome and comfortable. We will definitely be back in the future and know we will be well taken care of then as well! Very minor and completely out of their control-the stairs are quite steep and a challenge for someone like me who is not in good shape and has a bad Achilles tendon. However, I did manage to get up and down without incident and am so grateful for that! Just gotta take it slow if you’re like me. ?

Steven was caring, kind and prompt from beginning to end. The instructions were clear, the condo was easy to find with plenty of off-street parking, and the area seemed very clean and safe. Upon opening the door, you look through the open concept kitchen and living room and are fixated with a beautiful ocean front view! The condo was very clean, seems newly renovated, has new kitchen appliances, comfortable and cozy furniture and is beautifully decorated! The bathrooms were very clean, great hot water and shower pressure! Also, little things like -beach chairs and umbrella are provided, something when leaving Maine in Feb you don't think about. And, the thought to have a keypad access so you don't lose a key on the beach, perfect! Sitting on the condo's covered balcony and watching the sun rise/set and the dolphins pass was just amazing! Super nice, great experience, I just can't say enough great things about this stay! Thank you Steven!

Steven’s place is even better than the photos. This was the last Airbnb rental we stayed at on a 3 week road trip and it was by far the best. Loved the modern but not cluttered feel and the high chairs on the balcony. It smelled clean without air fresheners and fragrances covering anything up. When we have the chance to visit North Myrtle Beach again, we will definitely see if this condo is available.
