OUR STORY

Myrtle Beach Destinations was built by vacation rental owners, for vacation rental owners. Born from firsthand experience and a deep understanding of the challenges property owners face, we set out to create a management company that’s as modern, responsive, and owner-focused as the industry demands. As the vacation rental market continues to evolve, so do we—offering flexible, data-driven management strategies that keep properties competitive and guests coming back. Every home we manage is held to the highest standards, with a focus on consistent upkeep, thoughtful upgrades, and maximizing long-term value. mEET OUR TEAM

Clayton Hucks / Director Of Operations

Clayton was born and raised in beautiful Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and serves as our Director of Operations. He attended Middlebury College in Vermont, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry. Clayton has been with Myrtle Beach Destinations since its founding and has played an integral role in the company's growth and success. 

With years of hospitality experience, he is passionate about delivering exceptional service and ensuring both guests and property owners have an outstanding experience with Myrtle Beach Destinations. 

Fun fact: Clayton is a devoted Atlanta Falcons super-fan and season ticket holder who attends every home game and travels across the country to experience several away games each season.

Austin Chrobak / Senior Operations Manager 

Austin is one of our Senior Operations Manager and a proud Army Airborne veteran who moved to Myrtle Beach after serving on active duty. He continues to serve in the Army National Guard while leading daily operations with the same discipline, reliability, and attention to detail. Austin plays a key role in ensuring our properties are guest-ready and our teams run efficiently.

Fun fact: Austin has jumped out of over 25 airplanes! 

Makayla Seagle / Senior Operations Manager

Makayla is one of our Senior Operations Managers at Myrtle Beach Destinations, bringing a strong hospitality background and a specialized expertise in housekeeping operations. With a passion for creating exceptional guest experiences, she oversees daily operations with confidence, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence. Known for her hands-on leadership style, Makayla approaches every challenge with professionalism, care, and a dedication to supporting both guests and property owners. 

As a local resident, she enjoys life along the Grand Strand with her husband and their beloved furbabies, embracing all that coastal living has to offer while helping ensure every property and guest experience reflects the highest standards of hospitality.

Fun fact: Makayla is a Wicked fanatic and has seen the Broadway musical 4 times in just 1 year! 

 
Veronica DiGennaro  / Evening Shift Manager - Housekeeping Specialist

Veronica DiGennaro, an Air Force Veteran, is one of our housekeeping assistant managers. With over 10 years of experience in hospitality and a degree in Hotel and Resort Management, she plays a crucial role in the day-to-day cleaning operation, organizational standards, and efficiency strategies. 

Fun Fact: Ever since she was in elementary school, chess has been Veronica's favorite game. She was even in chess club in 5th grade! 


Jared Ellis / Evening Shift Manager - Maintenance Specialist

Jared Ellis is a dedicated maintenance specialist and evening shift manager with experience in general maintenance and team performance. Skilled in problem-solving, preventive maintenance, and operational efficiency, he is committed to maintaining safe, reliable, and productive environments while delivering strong leadership and results.

Fun Fact: In his free time, Jared enjoys taking his boat onto our beautiful Intracoastal Waterway to spend time with his family! 


                                                                 
Payton Bell  / Director Of Housekeeping

Payton Bell is known for her hard work, positive attitude, and exceptional attention to detail. She joined MBD as an housekeeping inspector and has made her way up to the Director Of Housekeeping role. Her commitment to cleanliness and consistency plays a vital role in ensuring guest satisfaction across our properties. 

Fun fact: Payton is from Lisbon, New Hampshire. This little town only has 1,600 residents! 







Tara Morris  / Asst Housekeeping Manager

Tara Morris constantly leads by example, helping to uphold the high standards our guests and owners have come to expect. She is a huge part of our team and we are so lucky she is here with us at MBD! 

Troy Lozano / Back Of House Manager

Troy Lozano is one of our housekeeping assistant managers. His main focus is laundry, linens, housemen, and evening operations.  

Leonard Brown  / Lead Houseman

Leonard Brown has been a crucial piece of our in-house housekeeping operation since it's founding. He serves as our lead houseman, paving the way for our cleaning and inspection teams to be ready for each day.

Amiee Burch / Office Admin

Aimee Burch is the focal point of the day-to-day success. She works with all departments to ensure all things go smoothly and efficiently each day. Our guests are ready to experience the best vacation ever because of her! 

Fun Fact: Archery is a hobby that Amiee has enjoyed since she was young!

Paul Day / Director of Maintenance

Paul Day is our Director of Maintenance, bringing over 30 years of hands-on experience in property maintenance and repair. Known for his leadership and technical expertise, Paul ensures our homes are safe, functional, and up to the highest standards. He oversees all maintenance operations with a sharp focus on quality, efficiency, and long-term care.

Eric Strider / Asst Director Of Maintenance

Eric Strider is a key member of our maintenance team with an extensive background in property care and repair. He holds certifications in both pool operations and pest control, bringing added expertise to ensure our properties remain in top condition year-round.

Steven Chrobak founded Myrtle Beach Destinations with a mission to elevate the vacation rental experience in Myrtle Beach—drawing from his background as an Air Force pilot, an engineering graduate from Ohio State, and a real estate investor. After purchasing his own property in Myrtle Beach to use as vacation rental, Steven struggled to find a management company that delivered the level of service he believed guests deserved. That experience sparked a vision: to create a high-quality, trustworthy option for fellow owners who value exceptional care and hospitality.

His belief that great companies are built by great people has been the driving force behind assembling the team.
